Job Description

LEDVANCE is seeking an on-site IT Local Technical Support Specialist (Generalist) to provide hands-on technical assistance for computer hardware and software systems at regional sites and distribution centers in Versailles, Kentucky. This role supports day-to-day operations at the LEDVANCE Midwest Distribution Center (MDC) and works closely with internal IT staff, partners, and vendors to keep systems running reliably and securely.

In this position based at the Versailles, KY MDC, you will handle troubleshooting and maintenance, contribute to documentation, and support user training. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility, and the work must be performed on-site. Work sponsorship is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to user requests and technical issues through a ticketing process or in person
  • Install, configure, update, and maintain hardware and software components
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to computer systems, printers, and other devices
  • Provide training and guidance to users on how to use applications and systems
  • Document and report technical issues, resolutions, and user feedback
  • Collaborate with other IT staff, outsource partners, and vendors to support system performance and security
  • Perform routine maintenance of systems and data

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Experience delivering technical support and customer service
  • Knowledge of common operating systems, applications, and protocols
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems in a timely and effective manner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to learn new technologies and skills quickly
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare, Azure, Redhat, etc.
