Technical Support Specialist / X-Ray Installation Engineer

DEL MEDICAL INC is seeking a Technical Support Specialist / X-Ray Installation Engineer to help build expertise in digital radiography and X-ray systems. In this hybrid role based in Bloomingdale, IL, you will start with technical support and troubleshooting, then progress into hands-on installation, configuration, and commissioning work across healthcare facilities in North America.

What you will do

• Learn and troubleshoot Del Medical X-ray and digital imaging systems.
• Support customers, distributors, dealers, and Field Service Engineers with technical questions and issue resolution.
• Diagnose issues across electrical, mechanical, software, and system-related components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Document troubleshooting activities and recommend corrective actions based on findings.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to support product improvements.
• Progress into installing, configuring, and commissioning X-ray systems at healthcare facilities.
• Handle mechanical assembly, electrical connections, system testing, and calibration.
• Train customers on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Travel throughout North America alongside experienced engineers.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field, including Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Robotics, Physics, Biomechanical Engineering, or a comparable program.
• Associate degree candidates and individuals with relevant technical experience will also be considered.
• Electronics troubleshooting experience.
• Mechanical assembly skills.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems.
• Technical support experience and familiarity with manufacturing equipment and field service.
• Exposure to robotics or automation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with digital/analog electronics and electrical testing equipment.
• Basic computer and networking knowledge.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and curiosity to learn.
• Hands-on, technically motivated mindset with a customer-focused, professional approach.
• Comfort working independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in building a long-term engineering career.

Compensation

• USD 50,000 - 60,000 per year
