Corporate Technical Support Associate
Job Description
Provides technical assistance to employees and customers, helping troubleshoot and resolve computer-related issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage mobile device access and app installation for devices such as cell phones, tablets, mobile printers, and related equipment; wrist units and ring scanners for WMS are a plus.
- Process ordering, receiving, and shipping of equipment to and from the corporate office.
- Maintain and conduct regular audits of assets within the inventory management system.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve user problems related to software and hardware.
- Handle support requests via phone, chat, email, or other channels regarding software, connectivity, printing, and related topics.
- Guide users through diagnostic and troubleshooting steps, using diagnostic tools or following verbal instructions as needed.
- Assist users with software installation and related troubleshooting; escalate complex issues to the appropriate staff.
- Communicate regularly with the support team to discuss recurring problems and share solutions and best practices.
- Set up or repair computer hardware and peripherals such as printers and scanners; coordinate with third-party vendors as necessary.
- Troubleshoot system failures and identify roadblocks affecting the network.
- Create new user accounts and establish appropriate access.
- Monitor computer and telecommunications systems to improve network performance.
- Perform backup procedures to minimize the risk of data loss.
- Attend training on new equipment, software, platforms, and products; assist in developing user manuals and related documentation.
- Stay informed about technology innovations and trends.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of technical support experience.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and remote customer service abilities.
- Ability to explain technical issues to both technical and nontechnical employees and customers.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related productivity software.
- Ability to quickly learn a broad range of computer hardware and software.
