Customer Technical Support Advisor

The role centers on delivering expert product technical support, installation guidance, and troubleshooting for Corston Architectural Detail customers and trade professionals in the United States. The position is onsite in Hanover Park, IL, with a focus on electrical hardware such as switches, outlets, and lighting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on wiring, load compatibility, dimming systems, and installation requirements for switches, sockets, and lighting
• Troubleshoot electrical and installation issues over the phone, guiding customers and electricians through clear step-by-step solutions
• Support trade customers (designers, electricians, and contractors) with specifications, installation details, and troubleshooting
• Offer technical guidance and support to the broader customer service team
• Handle customer inquiries by telephone and email
• Identify recurring technical questions and propose updates for FAQs on Corston.us

Requirements

• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Minimum 1 year of electrical work, installation, or technical customer service within electrical products or the electrical industry
• Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills
• Strong presentation, verbal, and written abilities
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
• Highly task- and KPI-driven

Compensation

Salary range: USD 40,000 - 50,000 per year. This position is located onsite in Hanover Park, IL.
