Job Description

System One is hiring a Desktop Support Specialist to provide onsite support for a trading floor environment in New York, NY. In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for traders and VIP users, handling day to day desktop technology issues and resolving problems quickly and accurately, escalating when a deeper technical team needs to get involved.

This position focuses on hands-on troubleshooting across Windows devices and the core tools used in the trading workflow. You will support end users, maintain device health through common management platforms, and ensure continuity by covering alternate shifts and planned or urgent weekend work as needed.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide trading floor operations support as the primary onsite help point for traders and VIP users
  • Support Windows desktops and laptops used for Bloomberg and Intex (or similar market applications)
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office applications when issues occur
  • Diagnose and resolve PC hardware, printer, peripheral, and browser problems
  • Troubleshoot end user network issues, including Zscaler client-related problems
  • Manage and maintain devices using SCCM, Intune, or comparable tooling
  • Escalate to network, infrastructure, and application teams when issues require additional support
  • Cover alternate shifts and handle planned or urgent weekend work when required

What you bring

  • Actual experience supporting trading floor operations (for example, IT Helpdesk, Desktop Support Technician, or IT Technician roles)
  • Experience with Bloomberg and Intex (or similar market apps)
  • Experience with SCCM, Intune (or similar), Zscaler, and ServiceNow and Jira
  • Ability to work onsite with shift coverage and weekend support as needed

Compensation and work model

Salary: USD 100,000 - 150,000 per year. This is an onsite role in New York, NY.
