Job Description

Based at the Southwest Technology Center in Houston, this onsite position provides technical phone and digital support for Mazak machines, ensuring service delivery aligns with corporate metrics. The Field Service Support Technician works with customers, field technicians, and Mazak associates to diagnose issues, interpret engineering drawings, and guide safe, effective resolutions.

Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
  • Address technical questions from customers, field service technicians, and vendor/distributor technicians
  • Provide guidance that matches the user's ability to safely perform the recommended task or procedure
  • Assess the customer situation to determine the resources needed to resolve it
  • Ensure customers receive a timely, tangible response in line with corporate guidelines
  • Document comprehensive summaries of all customer calls in D365, including contacts and next steps
  • Assemble service history reports for product improvement and customer requests
  • Interact with customers and other Mazak associates
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Some travel may be required
  • Utilize strong call center and customer relationship skills

Requirements

  • Two years of experience required
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Four to six years of experience in field service or a related position preferred
