Help Desk Analyst
Job Description
Help Desk Analyst position on a long-term contract onsite in Green, Ohio, with daytime training and access setup before transitioning to an evening shift (8 PM–6 AM) on a four-day, 10-hour Monday–Thursday schedule.
Responsibilities
- Offer first-line technical support by receiving requests from field technicians and guiding through resolution steps.
- Assess application behavior around switch upgrade activities, noting defects, inconsistencies, or performance issues observed during testing.
- Create, update, and monitor service desk tickets to ensure accurate documentation and timely routing for follow-up.
- Troubleshoot Windows desktops and user access problems using standard diagnostics and clear communication.
- Handle Active Directory tasks such as validating access and basic user environment troubleshooting.
- Maintain thorough incident logs, observations, and outcomes to aid reporting and resolution.
- Complete required training and onboarding to obtain network access and readiness for project support.
- Prior experience in a help desk, service desk, or desktop support setting.
- Basic proficiency with Active Directory for user and access support.
- Hands-on experience supporting Windows operating environments, including Windows 10.
- Ability to conduct basic technical troubleshooting and document findings clearly.
- Familiarity with creating and managing service tickets within a structured support workflow.
- Strong verbal and written communication for user assistance and coordination with technical teams.
- Availability for initial day-shift training Monday through Friday, followed by the Monday–Thursday schedule.
