Overview
The Help Desk Specialist I serves as the initial phone contact for clients, collects detailed information, and prioritizes service requests to determine resolution or escalation. This position is remote and may include after-hours on-call availability to support clinical environments and radiology applications.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote and on-site technical support in a clinical setting, as necessary
- Follow security guidelines determined by the industry and management
- Maintain appropriate technical documentation for support, training, and analysis
- Proactively identify areas for solution improvement, including workflow, configuration, or application changes
- Enter, prioritize, and escalate service tickets via the ticket system
- Work directly with customers via phone, onsite, and online to resolve computing and radiology application problems
- Respond promptly to customer needs, escalate appropriately, and solicit feedback to improve service
- Install and configure radiology software packages such as PACS, Voice Recognition, and supporting applications
- Resolve general workstation issues related to operating systems, hardware compatibility, and software interdependencies
- Monitor queue email request folders, providing support to meet queue needs based on department and team availability
- Availability to work after-hours on-call schedule as needed
Requirements
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- One year of experience in a technical helpdesk
- Experience with workstation, network, and cloud technology
- Knowledge of workstation hardware and software support
- Post-offer, pre-employment drug test
