Job Description

This onsite Help Desk Technician position with Ingles Markets focuses on resolving store technology and operation issues via phone and email.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to technical and operational inquiries from Ingles stores and corporate users using phone and email
  • Log all tasks in the ITSM/CSM platform for tracking and accountability
  • Diagnose and resolve issues that can be addressed in a timely manner
  • Provide information related to store operations as needed
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues according to process
  • Follow up with users to confirm issues are resolved satisfactorily
  • Verify daily receipt of sales data from stores
  • Conduct monthly user audits for store systems
  • Perform additional department duties as directed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • General PC usage knowledge
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong phone etiquette
  • Professional email etiquette
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize

The Position Details

  • The Helpdesk Technician provides support and resolution of store technology and operation problems via direct interaction with Ingles Stores through phone and email
  • Opportunities to apply computer skills, assist others with technology issues, and grow within the IT department
  • Shifts run Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday, four-day work week with ten-hour shifts; overtime available
