Job Description

The Help Desk Technician role supports end users by coordinating, installing, and maintaining computer systems, peripherals, and related software while providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for workstation issues onsite in Bossier City, Louisiana.

What You’ll Do

In this position, you will coordinate installation and ongoing maintenance of PC hardware, software, and peripherals. You will provide technical customer support by phone, assisting end users with a broad range of computer related issues, from initial identification through troubleshooting and resolution.

  • Coordinate, install, and maintain PC hardware and software, including all connected peripherals
  • Provide technical customer support over the phone and troubleshoot/resolving end-user issues
  • Identify, evaluate, and solve workstation problems for end users
  • Repair, maintain, upgrade, and install computers and related peripheral equipment
  • Perform diagnostic testing to determine the source of problems and complete necessary repairs
  • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed
  • Handle installations of new systems and equipment efficiently
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of work performed
  • Maintain testing equipment and repair tools

Required Qualifications

  • One or more years of related computer equipment repair experience
  • High school graduate or equivalent, with computer repair training and certification, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Thorough knowledge of computer parts, applications, and telecommunication systems
  • Good knowledge of tools, processes, and techniques used in designing technical plans and models
  • Knowledge of appropriate testing and repair equipment
