Job Description

Asurion Insurance Services is seeking a part-time in-home sales and tech support specialist for the Stamford, CT area. The role blends hands-on tech assistance with sales in customers’ homes, requiring daily travel, an evening schedule, and a paid training program that introduces you to a Serve, Solve, Sell framework.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers using the Serve, Solve, Sell™ approach on the front lines.
  • Begin with paid training to prepare for independent field work.
  • Learn Asurion products and gain practical sales experience while building communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Receive ongoing coaching and mentoring to support growth and maintain confidence and tech-savviness.
  • Meet customers in their homes, in offices, or wherever they are, with pre-scheduled interactions aimed at meeting and surpassing sales targets.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout each interaction, always prioritizing the customer.
  • Address and resolve customers’ tech issues, providing clear solutions regardless of their technical background.
  • Ensure customers leave with a workable resolution and a product that addresses future tech needs.
  • Leverage Asurion’s growing product lineup to offer tailored solutions.
  • Listen actively to identify customer needs and position products accordingly.
  • Utilize strong negotiation and communication skills to pivot smoothly and close the sale.

Requirements

  • Comfortable in a sales environment with set targets.
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Ability to provide proof of valid car insurance (Manhattan area excluded).
  • Personal vehicle (excluding motorcycles). Appointments are located in neighborhoods and cities surrounding the inventory warehouse, with a maximum one-way travel distance of 120 miles.
  • Structured five-day workweek designed to meet customers on their timeline, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Personal cellphone for on-the-job communication.
  • Comfortable working around household pets.
  • Efficient, adaptable, goal-oriented, and persuasive communication skills.
  • Open-minded with a passion for learning a broad set of skills applicable to various career paths.
  • Naturally outgoing and energized by human interaction.
  • Note: Work hours may vary based on business needs and market demand; flexibility may be required.

Benefits

  • Base hourly rate is guaranteed for all hours worked and paid bi-weekly; earned pay can be accessed early.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Team
