IT Support Engineer I
Job Description
The IT Support Engineer I role is based onsite in Dallas, TX, delivering technical solutions and high quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software across a defined geographic area, including troubleshooting and IT infrastructure work.
Responsibilities
- Perform network engineering tasks and troubleshooting, manage data cabling, and administer systems across diverse software and hardware environments.
- Ensure ongoing availability of infrastructure networking and computing systems during production hours.
- Collaborate with management and staff to provide analytical and technical support for the ongoing improvement of IT solutions.
- Oversee local IT projects within the assigned area.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and processes.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
- Provide support to customers across multiple buildings in the area as well as remote customers.
- Travel within the local or regional area to support customers.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience with Windows Server technologies, including Active Directory, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
- Minimum 2 years of troubleshooting in a multi-user, high-availability environment.
- Two or more years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and asset disposition experience.
- At least 1 year of delivering IT client, server, and network services.
- Two or more years of networking experience, including DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI model, and TCP/IP.
- Two or more years of corporate setting Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems support experience.
- Two or more years of supporting and maintaining a corporate network environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
