Job Description
HOFFMAN HOMES, INC is seeking an onsite IT Support Specialist in Littlestown, PA to assist the IT Supervisor with daily technology operations and hands-on support for HH employees and presenters. This full-time role includes equipment support, troubleshooting, system monitoring, and coordination with third-party IT support.
Role Overview
The IT Support Specialist provides problem-solving support and helps staff address IT-related concerns. Daily department responsibilities include equipment distribution and maintenance, troubleshooting, and ongoing system monitoring. The role also supports network and account administration tasks alongside third-party IT support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support, training, and assistance to employees and presenters regarding software and IT equipment.
- Create support materials such as handouts and videos, including troubleshooting guides.
- Troubleshoot IT issues that do not require outsourced support.
- Maintain equipment and keep systems updated.
- Assist third-party IT support with network and email accounts, as well as student network accounts.
- Develop and manage databases.
- Generate and maintain inventory for the IT Department.
- Support management and maintenance of the web content filter, network infrastructure, and servers, including the email server and email archive server.
Required Qualifications
- Training will be provided.
- Applicants with limited experience may be considered.
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in an IT-related field.
- High School Diploma or GED may be considered with appropriate experience.
- At least one year of experience in an IT-related capacity, ideally within education or healthcare-related organizations.
- Proficiency with Apple OS X workstation and server.
- Proficiency with Windows OS.
- Experience with Audio/Visual equipment (for example, projectors, microphones, amplifiers).
- Experience with Dish Network installation and setup.
- Experience with telephone switches, as well as data and voice cabling installation and termination (copper and/or fiber).
- Experience with data networking equipment (routers, switches, etc.).
- Experience with two-way radio systems.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management Solutions and Learning Management Systems.
- Ability to meet clearances as designated by Pennsylvania Child Protective Service Law and the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and Pennsylvania Department of Education.
- Demonstrated ethical behavior and trustworthiness.
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and crawl into small spaces, including work in attic/ceiling spaces.
- Punctuality and good attendance, along with task management and time management skills.
- Positive and collaborative communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with iOS 7+ operation (strongly desired).
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems (plus).
