Job Description

Delta Engineers, Architects & Surveyors offers full-time, on-site IT support for people who want their technical work to directly improve day-to-day performance. In this role in Endicott, NY, you will help employees across office and remote environments, supported by a benefits package that includes health coverage, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and professional development assistance.

What you’ll do

  • Provide first-line help desk support by responding to requests, diagnosing issues, and resolving problems involving computers, software, hardware, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, and user accounts.
  • Manage incidents in a ticketing system, including opening, updating, prioritizing, documenting, and closing support requests accurately and on time.
  • Communicate with users via phone, email, chat, remote support tools, or in person to gather information, explain solutions, and ensure follow-up.
  • Install, configure, test, deploy, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, peripherals, operating systems, business applications, and cloud services.
  • Set up new employees by preparing workstations, user accounts, access rights, and security credentials; update or disable accounts as staffing changes occur.
  • Support users at remote locations as needed, including troubleshooting connectivity, access, device, and application issues.
  • Perform hardware and software upgrades, workstation replacements, equipment setup, and routine maintenance according to IT standards.
  • Support basic network administration and related activities such as system monitoring, endpoint maintenance, IT audits, security awareness, and compliance-related tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment, hardware, software, and assigned assets, and prepare devices for reuse, reassignment, or disposal per policy.
  • Document recurring issues, recommend process improvements, and support IT procedures, knowledge base articles, and user guidance materials.
  • Stay current on supported technologies, cybersecurity practices, and internal IT procedures.

What you’ll bring

  • Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and certifications.
  • At least 2 years of IT support experience in a Windows 10/11 networked environment.
  • Proficiency with Windows 10/11, desktop applications, laptops, peripherals, printers, and common business software.
  • Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing Windows 10/11 operating systems, business applications, computer hardware, and peripherals.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly to users with varying technical knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple requests, and contribute as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including accurate documentation and record keeping.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and follow established IT standards, procedures, and security practices.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs, with workstation setup tasks that may require bending, reaching, crawling under desks, pushing carts, and carrying equipment.

Schedule, location, and pay

  • Location: Endwell, NY area (listed as Endicott, NY), in person (primarily on-site)
  • Travel: Occasional travel to remote offices or job sites as needed
  • Schedule: Full-time; some after-hours or weekend support may be required for scheduled maintenance, urgent issues, or special projects
  • Hours: 40.0 per week
  • Pay: Hourly position; pay range starts at $25.00 per hour depending on experience
