IT Support Specialist

At Shah Corporation, the IT Support Specialist role focuses on helping customers keep their technology running smoothly. You will support software, hardware, and networking systems in an in-office environment in Burnsville, MN, with the flexibility for remote work only when operationally appropriate. What you’ll do

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries by phone and email, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
• Install and configure company software on customer computers, and provide ongoing technical support.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain customer hardware including computers, printers, scanners, credit card readers, and related devices.
• Monitor, configure, and maintain customer firewalls and networking equipment to support security and uptime.
• Create and maintain detailed support tickets for every issue, documenting steps taken and final resolutions.
• Rotate weekend email support responsibilities on Saturdays to ensure customer coverage, with time off provided to offset this schedule.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Customer service mindset and the ability to work independently.

Preferred qualifications

• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent industry certifications.
• Experience with network administration and firewall management.

Work details

Location: Burnsville, MN (onsite). This is an in-office position requiring full-time presence at the office location.

Remote work: Available on an as-needed basis for situations where it is operationally appropriate.

Pay: USD $20.00 to $30.78 per hour.

Expected hours: 40.0 hours per week.
