This on-site IT support role provides first-line help desk assistance in Mechanicsburg, PA, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The position carries a starting wage of $21.00 per hour and requires an associate level credential or active enrollment in an associate program.

Overview

Role: on-site IT Support Specialist / Help Desk in a healthcare environment. Location: Mechanicsburg, PA. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Starting pay: $21.00 per hour. Employer: Select Medical. Visa sponsorship for this position is not offered now or in the future, and corporate-to-corporate arrangements are not pursued.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver timely, customer-centric responses to all Help Desk issues to maintain satisfaction levels.
  • Provide support for computer hardware and software, peripherals, network connectivity, and systems in use.
  • Log issues promptly with detailed, up-to-date information to support effective resolution.
  • Escalate problems by documenting their impact, assigning an appropriate priority, and setting a resolution target.
  • Escalate severe or persistent problems to management as needed to ensure visibility and action.
  • Review outstanding issues daily to confirm troubleshooting progress and current resolutions.
  • Identify problems with potential enterprise-wide impact and collaborate with the Help Desk Manager to define remediation plans and execute them.
  • Engage in information-sharing activities to improve team knowledge and response quality.
  • Monitor and report any security violations related to unauthorized access to corporate data.
  • Resolve problems promptly and efficiently, maintaining service quality.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  • Stay aware of the changing technology landscape and propose cost-efficient techniques where appropriate.
  • Identify policy or procedural gaps and contribute to new or revised guidelines, especially with future business expansion in mind; submit recommendations accordingly.
  • Support the mission and direction of Select Medical within the Information Services department and across the organization.
  • Complete any assigned activities, tasks, and projects in a timely manner.

  • Ability to work the posted shift.
