IT Support Specialist I
Job Description
The IT Support Specialist I provides end-user technology assistance for school staff and students across two Glendale, Arizona campuses. This role supports troubleshooting for computers, mobile devices, classroom technology, and network services, including occasional after-hours coverage for evening events.
Role Responsibilities
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technology issues for staff and student personal computer software and hardware, iPads, internet connectivity, audiovisual equipment, Apple TVs, VoIP systems, and other classroom technology.
- Deliver one-on-one end-user problem resolution both remotely and on-site for two campuses.
- Order, deliver, tag, and assist in configuring classroom technology equipment.
- Complete end user move/add/change requests and manage user accounts in systems including Active Directory, Exchange Online, Office 365, Constant Contact, and Pearson SuccessNet.
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user network and local printer issues, including local-area network access problems.
- Coordinate timely repairs for classroom technology covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.
- Perform minor hardware repairs for computers, mobile devices, and peripherals not covered by third-party maintenance agreements.
- Assist with installation of local area network cabling systems and related equipment such as network interface cards, hubs, and switches.
- Maintain technology inventory and support warranty management.
- Assist the Technology department with creating staff and student FAQ materials.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and route new service requests, escalating issues as needed.
- Run scheduled morning and afternoon procedures to ensure network and system availability.
- Ensure communication is generated for all open and closed service request items.
- Run, test, and troubleshoot cabling in existing buildings.
- Complete other related job duties as assigned.

Work setup: Onsite in Glendale, AZ. This position requires personal transportation between two school campuses.
Employment Details
- Job Type: Full-time
- Salary: USD 40,000 - 48,000 per year
- Minimum Experience: 1 year
After-hours support is required to support evening school events and to complete technology tasks and projects.

Knowledge of
- Windows and iOS operating systems, various software applications (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Office365, Webroot, and mobile applications), and basic hardware for PCs and iPads
- Principles and theories of network systems and management
- Internet technologies including TCP/IP and VoIP products
- Cable management and basic understanding of electrical safety procedures
- Interactive panels (InFocus JTouch, Promethean ActivPanel, etc.) and Apple TVs, along with N-Computing and Word Press site management (desired, but not required)
Minimum Qualifications
- One year providing end-user support for desktop and application software OR one year installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and repairing personal computers in a network environment
- General understanding of a broad spectrum of technologies and devices
- One-year college-level course work and MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) or equivalent certification preferred, but not required
- Must be able to conduct triage and prioritize tasks and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance card, current resume, 3 letters of recommendation, and copies of certifications for immediate consideration
