IT Support Technician
Job Description
Information Systems Laboratories is hiring a part-time IT Support Technician to join its corporate IT team onsite in Idaho. In this role you will perform software installation and updates, hardware and workstation maintenance, user account management via Active Directory and Azure, backup monitoring, and support for cybersecurity controls and hardware inventory, contributing to reliable IT operations in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and update software on computer workstations and servers
- Set up, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on workstations, laptops, servers, printers, and other equipment
- Assist with managing user accounts and permissions via Active Directory and Azure
- Monitor data backup implementations
- Support the rollout and monitoring of cybersecurity controls, firewalls, network equipment, and monitoring activities
- Maintain hardware inventory
Requirements
- Solid experience with Windows operating systems including Windows 11 and Windows Server
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Azure
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and support for Ethernet and Wireless networks
- Experience with network equipment management including firewalls, switches, and VPN
- Strong writing skills related to technical process documentation
- Strong communication skills
