IT Support Technician (VoIP)

Datatel.co offers health insurance and paid time off, and this on-site IT Support Technician (VoIP) role is based in Meridian, Idaho. The position centers on deploying and maintaining VoIP infrastructure for customers across on-premise and cloud environments. After a successful probation period, there may be occasional travel to other states and participation in an on-call rotation that could include nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain a range of VoIP products and services across both on-premise and cloud-based platforms.
• Troubleshoot network infrastructure components, including Cat6 cabling, patch panels, network racks, and cable trays.
• Troubleshoot networking gear such as switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Physically able to work on lifts or tall ladders and in crawlspaces when required.
• This is an in-person role at the Meridian, ID office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• After probation and competency confirmation, occasional travel to other states and participation in an on-call rotation that may involve night and weekend work.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and computer operation.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience and/or certifications with Netsapiens, MetaView, or Mitel is a plus.

Compensation

Pay rate: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour, starting based on experience.
