Job Description

Join MIFAB in Chicago as a Mechanical Engineer, Technical Support. This onsite role combines hands-on engineering with direct customer interaction, offering a robust benefits package and opportunities to grow your CAD and plumbing knowledge. You will create Bills of Materials, answer product technical questions, and work closely with customers to support proper application of our plumbing and building systems. Responsibilities

  • Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assist with product technical questions.
  • Work with engineering drawings, blueprints, and building plan layouts.
  • Apply knowledge of plumbing or related experience.
  • Absorb new information quickly and be open to ongoing training.
  • Interact directly with customers, including general contractors and building engineers.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred or actively pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with CAD software (BIM, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit), with a preference for at least two years.
  • High energy with a sense of urgency to complete tasks.
  • Well organized with a strong work ethic, ability to multi-task, and comfort working in a fast paced environment to meet customer expectations.
  • Desire to learn and be self-driven.

Compensation

Annual base salary: $50,000 – $60,000, based on experience. The listing also reflects a range of $49,160.27 – $59,203.77 per year.

Work Location

Onsite in Chicago, IL

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Relocation/Commute

Reliably commute to Chicago, IL 60643 or plan to relocate before starting (required).
