Production Technical Support Specialist II

PENTAX Medical is seeking a hands-on Production Technical Support Specialist II to support our ENT product line from our Montvale, New Jersey site. This onsite role blends manufacturing discipline with technical analysis and customer service to resolve device issues, encompassing assembly, testing, repair, and diagnostics for clinicians and sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on assembly, installation, testing, and repair of electro-mechanical medical devices, subassemblies, and accessories.
• Assemble and test hardware and peripheral components.
• Identify problems with system integration of multiple devices and provide guidance to promote swift resolutions.
• Assess product concerns to determine next steps, including repair, replacement, or escalation.
• Provide technical analysis and customer service to ENT sales teams and customers to determine device issues, required steps for repair, and perform repairs.
• Troubleshoot device functionality issues and guide customers through clear, step-by-step solutions.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify hardware or performance issues.
• Document customer interactions, findings, and resolutions accurately.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of product concerns.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with hands-on technical products
• 4-7 years of experience in a production environment
• Advanced knowledge of PENTAX Medical ENT products and services preferred
• Excellent communication, writing and documentation skills
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
• Experience in navigating operating systems and Microsoft Office suites
• Knowledge of power tools, electrical testing tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to prioritize jobs and escalate when necessary
