Job Description

GadellNet relies on on-site specialists to keep client environments running smoothly in the Indianapolis area. This Branch Engineer role places you on the ground with local clients, delivering hands-on IT support while coordinating with dispatch and remote teams to resolve issues efficiently. You will participate in after-hours on-call rotations and may travel as needed to support deployments and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the onsite point of contact for remote teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Be the primary liaison for assigned CSE clients handling technical problems.
  • Repair, warranty, and deploy client workstations as required.
  • Troubleshoot network-related problems to restore service.
  • Identify opportunities to upgrade hardware or software and relay findings to account management.
  • Contribute to client documentation and update records as needed.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
  • After-hours duties may include installing and configuring server-room hardware such as switches, firewalls, and UPS units.
  • When on-site work is unavailable, resolve remote tickets through systematic troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Occasional physical activity including twisting, stretching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • After-hours work is required for critical outages, projects, and on-call rotations.
  • Desktop systems up to Windows 11; server systems up to Windows Server 2022.
  • Office 365 or Exchange Online 2019.
  • Any brand of modern network equipment (2019 era).
  • Experience troubleshooting network cabling.
  • Mounting network hardware into communication racks or mounting wireless access points.
  • Maintaining network infrastructure and supporting Microsoft Teams conference rooms, Office Suite, and Adobe products.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning.
  • Strong documentation skills and the ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues.
  • Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly, business-friendly manner.
  • Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
