Job Description
This Technical Support Engineering role focuses on wind turbine systems, providing troubleshooting, site visits, and fleet performance support as part of a high-performing Siemens Gamesa team in Orlando, FL.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex troubleshooting efforts and provide peer-to-peer coaching and technical support to colleagues.
- Execute domestic and international site visits to optimize turbine performance, perform root-cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
- Take a lead role in critical fleet issues and develop Work Control Packages (WCPs) for SGRE wind turbines.
- Offer proactive technical guidance and remediation strategies for recurring fleet top issues.
- Monitor and report on individual and team performance metrics to support annual operational goals.
- Deliver monthly technical overviews, product performance updates, and fleet reliability insights to key stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2β5 years of experience in the wind energy industry or an equivalent engineering/technical degree.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
- Strong ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with Power BI, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint for technical reporting, data analysis, and collaboration.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills within a field service or engineering support environment.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
