Technical Support Specialist

The Technical Support Specialist provides day-to-day end-user and systems support on site in Minnetonka, MN for Minnesota Eye Consultants. The position offers compensation of USD 26.00 to 29.00 per hour, with a starting rate within that range.

Responsibilities

• Receive, troubleshoot, and resolve support requests using the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with Application Specialists to diagnose and fix core application issues.
• Coordinate with third party vendors and additional IT resources to deliver technical support to end users via phone, email, or in person.
• Assist with new software and hardware implementations, create documentation, and conduct software testing and evaluation as needed.
• Be prepared for after-hours or weekend work when deployments or implementations require it, depending on the situation.
• Work with users at all levels on related projects to allocate resources, set priorities, and ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements and participate in developing processes to maintain compliance.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in a IT support role; healthcare IT experience is preferred.
• Functional knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Active Directory.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, judgment, and communication abilities, with an ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation

Salary: USD 26.00–29.00 per hour. Minimum experience: 1 year in IT support.

Hours and Travel

Must be able to travel to all UVP MN locations as needed. Reliable transportation is required. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for travel between sites.
