Technical Support Specialist - Financials
Job Description
ServiceTitan is hiring a Technical Support Specialist focused on Financials, supporting customers who rely on ServiceTitan software to run essential accounting and billing workflows. In this onsite role in California, you’ll help customers troubleshoot financial integrations, explain accounting concepts clearly, and support best-practice processes within the platform.
What you’ll do
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer support across phone, chat, email, and screen-sharing sessions.
- Develop strong product mastery of ServiceTitan financial modules, including invoicing, accounts receivable, and job costing, then provide expert guidance with practical, creative solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to accounting integrations, including platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and other connected systems.
- Coach customers on accounting best practices inside the software, including chart of accounts setup, financial reporting, and month-end closing procedures.
- Use support tooling and in-depth testing to prevent escalations and de-escalate complex cases by resolving issues efficiently.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in technical support or an accounting-related role.
- Strong problem-solving skills with critical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
- Excellent people skills, including empathy and patience, with the ability to translate financial and technical concepts into plain language.
- Ability to stay level-headed in a challenging, rapidly changing environment and work well in a feedback-oriented culture.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-centric mindset, desire to learn, and a can-do attitude.
- Solid understanding of core accounting principles such as debits/credits, accrual vs. cash basis, general ledger, P&L, and balance sheets.
- Hands-on experience with accounting tools such as QuickBooks (Desktop or Online), Sage, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet tools including Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting.
- Strong mathematical and analytical aptitude.
- Knowledge of the home or commercial service industry is a plus.
- Comfort working remotely, and ability to work at a desk (sitting or standing) for 6-8 hours at a time.

Compensation and education
The hourly salary range is USD 19 - 31 per hour. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
