Technical Support Specialist I
Job Description
This onsite role in Longmont, Colorado places the Technical Support Specialist I at the frontline of Vitesse Systems' IT operations. You will assist staff by handling help desk tickets and supporting end-user technology across company systems, contributing to smooth daily operations under the direction of the IT leadership. The position blends hands-on hardware and software support with opportunities to contribute to IT projects as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct laptop and workstation support for end users, including troubleshooting PC hardware, operating systems, software applications, peripherals, and communication devices.
- Assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading physical equipment required for business operations.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, resolve, and update company software and systems such as email, operating systems, and technical programs.
- Support IT projects and internal initiatives as directed by the Director of IT.
- Serve as the first line of defense for IT issues.
- Support end-user technology and deliver best-practice training.
- Integrate, maintain, and monitor user systems to ensure reliability.
- Provide training to users on hardware and software use.
- Maintain an inventory of equipment, software, licenses, and related assets.
- Uphold the company core values in daily work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow documented instructions and procedures.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows 11.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
