Automation & Technical Support Technician
Job Description
Greystone Engineering Solutions is seeking an entry-level Automation and Technical Support Technician to help keep automated systems running smoothly across customer sites and our own operations. This onsite role, based in Mount Juliet, TN, offers hands-on machine operation support, routine maintenance, and system setup for Greystone’s automation platforms, with travel-ready opportunities for a mechanically minded learner.
Responsibilities
- Support setup, calibration, and maintenance of automated machines and robotics systems
- Assist in installation and commissioning of equipment at customer sites
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and basic software issues
- Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections
- Assist engineering team with system upgrades and modifications
- Document service activities and create clear technical reports
- Provide professional on-site customer support when required
- Maintain organized tools, spare parts, and work areas
- Support testing, diagnostics, and system validation processes
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Some college coursework in Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Mechanics, or related technical field preferred
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring and components
- Basic software troubleshooting skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and fast learner
- Comfortable working around industrial equipment and automated systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create clear reports and basic presentations
- Must be willing and able to travel on short notice
- Valid driver’s license required
