Field Tech Support Analyst
Job Description
Field Tech Support Analyst role based in Chappaqua, NY, onsite, offering an hourly range of USD 28 to 51 and supporting clinicians within a 50-mile radius.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site escalation point for clinicians needing technical assistance, employing diagnostic techniques and tools to resolve issues.
- Travel within a 50-mile radius to deliver hands-on IT support and perform on-site troubleshooting.
- Install and verify the operational status of workstations, printers, phones, fax machines, computers, and software applications.
- Communicate clearly with customers and escalate unresolved incidents to the next level of support as needed.
- Log issues and their resolutions, participating in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
- Provide technical expertise to end users and assist in resolving hardware and software problems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues involving operating systems, applications, and network configurations; replace parts as necessary.
- Prioritize and manage workload independently while focusing on critical items, adapting to new technologies and improving procedures as required.
- Coordinate new access needs and security changes with internal IT leadership, ensuring proper user ID and password communication.
- Direct external contract resources for hardware installations and repairs as needed, maintain inventory, and ensure IT asset security.
Requirements
- Technical certifications such as CompTIA A+ and Network+, Microsoft MCP/MCSE, or Cisco CCNA.
- 4+ years of experience delivering IT desktop support in a corporate or clinical/business environment.
- 4+ years installing, configuring, and supporting desktop hardware, software applications, and server infrastructure.
- 4+ years installing, maintaining, and supporting networked devices (printers, scanners, peripherals).
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Windows operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with enterprise technologies such as Active Directory, VPNs, Exchange, Citrix, and backup solutions.
- 4+ years diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and basic networking issues.
- 1+ years supporting enterprise environments using technologies like Cisco networking tools, SharePoint, and backup software.
- Solid working knowledge of PC hardware, peripherals, and imaging/data migration processes.
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license.
