Help Desk Technician (2nd Shift)

Quantam Solutions offers an on-site, benefits-forward opportunity in Frankfort, KY supporting a 24/7 law enforcement IT help desk. This 2nd shift role includes a structured onboarding period on days before moving to the permanent evening schedule, with compensation of $20.00–$24.00 per hour. You’ll work onsite at 1266 Louisville Road, Frankfort, and participate in a comprehensive benefits package, CJIS certification training, and a fingerprint background check as part of security requirements. This position emphasizes a collaborative, security-minded environment focused on dependable IT support for public safety agencies.

Location and schedule details: on-site in Frankfort, KY. The first month runs on a day shift (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM) to accommodate training, after which you will transition to the permanent second shift (Wednesday–Saturday, 2:00 PM–12:30 AM).

Responsibilities

• Be the initial point of contact for incoming help desk calls and generate incident tickets.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, notebooks, Mobile Data Terminals, in-car video recorders, printers, network connections, and other law enforcement technologies.
• Utilize remote tools to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Gather data for support personnel and create tickets for Tier 2 and above as needed.
• Carry out standard help desk and operational tasks, including entering, executing, and monitoring production systems.
• Assist with and maintain the CJIS Kentucky network.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned or required by the agency.
