Job Description
Onsite in Redding, California, this IT Help Desk role provides first-line support to SCHC staff by phone and in person. You will troubleshoot basic issues, guide users through solutions, and assist with devices and software across phones, computers, AV gear, and related systems. The position offers USD 22 - 32 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Foster a positive working relationship with SCHC staff
- Represent SCHC in a constructive and professional manner
- Serve as the initial IT technical support contact for staff
- Provide assistance to the IT team as needed
- Use the trouble ticket system to log issues and escalate when appropriate
- Collaborate with IT staff to ensure system integrity, security, and performance
- Install, administer, and troubleshoot computer hardware including PCs, printers, and peripherals on site and remotely
- Install, administer, and troubleshoot software including Microsoft Operating Systems, MS Office suites, and organizational programs
- Maintain software solutions and hardware drivers from vendors and manufacturers
- Assist with software updates and upgrades
- Deliver high quality customer care in a fast and efficient manner
- Monitor help desk calls and provide technical support to end users
- Assist with technical training for clinic staff as needed
- Prioritize work requests to align with organizational needs
- Assist with researching technological applications and procedures
- Support asset and inventory management
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Working knowledge of computer hardware and networking components
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Office suites
- Strong problem solving skills to diagnose and resolve user and equipment issues
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively
- Analytical ability to diagnose user and network related problems and implement solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with Windows Desktop and Windows Server operating systems
- Experience with MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with trouble ticketing systems
