IT Support Specialist

As an onsite IT Support Specialist at SHADOWFAX CORPORATION in York, PA, you will help keep technology dependable across day-to-day operations and organization-wide initiatives. This role supports strategic priorities through hands-on IT management, service delivery, and participation in digital transformation efforts, with opportunities to drive continuity planning and coordinate multiple technology systems.

Compensation: USD 55,000 per year.
Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration of technology systems, software platforms, and digital resources, including Microsoft Teams, shared file environments, databases, reporting systems, and operational applications.
• Perform back-end maintenance for digital platforms such as SETWorks, electronic door lock systems, door cameras, assistive technology, and smart-home integrations.
• Support technology deployments, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Oversee help desk operations by resolving technology issues internally or coordinating with the organization’s third-party provider as needed.
• Manage the SCC and Pattison phone systems, including adding, removing, and updating users.
• Manage the organization’s cell phone contract, including purchasing, device setup, and disconnecting devices when necessary.
• Track and maintain technology inventory, including computers, printers, monitors, scanners, and related equipment.
• Purchase and coordinate setup of new computers with support from the organization’s third-party provider.
• Maintain organizational copiers and coordinate with the leasing company for changes, maintenance, and service issues.
• Serve as project manager for organization-wide IT projects and participate on the Digital Transformation Committee.
• Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption during emergency situations.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Professional communication skills.

Preferred and Strongly Recommended

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Preferred: Three years of related experience.
• Preferred: Proficiency in general computer skills.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Pennsylvania 6400 group home environments.
• Strongly Recommended: Experience with SETWorks and Vertex applications.
• Strongly Recommended: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
