On-Site & Remote Help Desk Technician
Job Description
Praetas Technologies is seeking an On-Site and Remote Help Desk Technician based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL (onsite) to deliver on-site, remote, and in-office IT support for commercial and residential customers across Palm Beach County. The role requires an A+ Certification, broad cross-environment experience, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site, remote, and in-office IT support for commercial and residential customers.
- Travel to customer locations around Palm Beach County and surrounding areas as needed.
- Diagnose hardware failures and resolve software or operating system error codes.
- Perform data recovery and clone hard drives or SSDs.
- Remove viruses and perform OS recovery for Windows and MacOS.
- Troubleshoot wired and wireless networking, printing, and scanning issues.
- Create and configure Office 365 Business Email and Manage Portal accounts.
- Research problems and generate efficient solutions.
- Work with Office 365 Applications and troubleshoot them.
- Open and repair or replace components in desktop and laptop PCs.
- Set up and navigate iOS and Android devices.
Requirements
- A+ Certification is required.
- Experience providing on-site, remote, and in-office support.
- Self-motivated, self-sufficient, and able to work well in a team.
- Excellent communication skills (phone and email) and ability to reply to inquiries.
- Ability to schedule appointments, stay organized, track projects, and follow up.
- Up-to-date knowledge of PC/Mac hardware and their operating systems, Windows Server, and Office 365 Hosted Exchange & apps, major networking products, and home app-based equipment.
- People-oriented and able to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
