Job Description

Part-time onsite IT consultant role in Denver, CO delivering on-site support and technology implementation for SMBs with travel to client sites and a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to client sites within the metro area when on-site presence is required.
  • Diagnose and fix desktop and network issues with support from remote personnel.
  • Deploy and implement new technology with guidance from remote colleagues.
  • Assess client support needs to identify suitable technology solutions.
  • Maintain clear, ongoing communication with customers.
  • Document work performed and capture relevant technical details for clients.

Requirements

  • Ability to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on desktops and servers.
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, Exchange, DNS.
  • End-user and Help Desk experience with MS Office Suite and other common desktop applications.
  • Experience troubleshooting network issues related to infrastructure such as switches and routers.
  • Configure TCP/IP settings on networks and troubleshoot TCP/IP issues.
  • Certifications such as A+, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, CNE, CCNA are a plus but not required.
  • Candidate must reside within close proximity to the metro area.
