Job Description

Mesquite ISD offers a part-time, on-site Summer Student Help Desk Agent role in Mesquite, TX. This bilingual (Spanish/English) position provides phone technology support to district staff, students, and families during a defined summer window. The role pays $16.00 per hour and requires 20 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from June 1, 2026 to July 23, 2026. Located in Technical Services, this auxiliary role reports to the Help Desk Manager and presents an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise-level tools within a school district environment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to telephone inquiries in a courteous and informative manner
  • Apply knowledge of major operating systems to assist users
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and strong organizational skills
  • Be familiar with enterprise and end-user software including help desk tools, Skyward, Microsoft Office, Email, Google Suite, and internet browsers
  • Work with Chromebooks, iPads, and mobile hotspots
  • Maintain strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
  • Take on additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English
  • Minimum of 1 year experience troubleshooting electronic devices in an enterprise environment preferred
  • Understanding of enterprise-level applications, especially help desk software
  • Ability to translate help desk calls between Spanish and English
