Technical Support Representative
Job Description
This on-site Technical Support Representative role at Amico in Hauppauge, NY focuses on medical gas systems, delivering installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support to ensure performance and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of medical gas systems.
- Collaborate with sales teams, project managers, and customers to evaluate requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Create system layouts, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with NFPA 99, ASSE 6010, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist and oversee system installation and commissioning to verify performance and safety standards.
- Deliver customer training and ongoing technical support regarding system operation and maintenance.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and advancements in medical gas technologies.
Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Electrical Engineering degree is preferred but not required, or other related technical field may be considered.
- Hands-on experience with the design, installation, and maintenance of medical gas systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with electronics and PLC programming is preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must reside on Long Island, NY.
