Job Description
Agile Defense is seeking a skilled Helpdesk/Client Systems Specialist to support the USAFCENT Combined Air Operations Center at Shaw AFB. This onsite role centers on installing, administering, and maintaining client hardware, devices, peripherals, and software while delivering practical end-user support in a secure defense IT environment. The position emphasizes hands-on system management and collaboration with network and operations teams to ensure reliable IT services.

Experience
Minimum two years of hands-on computer/IT hardware support experience.
Education
Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Role overview
This role involves installing, administering, and maintaining client machines, devices, peripherals, and software, while delivering technical support to end users on the USAFCENT CAOC network. It also encompasses day-to-day management, operation, maintenance, and administration of communications and IT systems and services across production, development, exercise, and training environments, including preventive, remedial, and corrective maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Configure and relocate client hardware and software to meet end-user data, voice, mobile, and video requirements.
- Provide system support for users operating on the network and domain.
- Configure local software, adjust software settings, and perform basic configuration management tasks.
- Notify the Equipment Custodian about hardware relocations and any equipment issues.
- Install new equipment.
- Assist with installing, testing, and accepting new systems per contract terms and instructions.
- Periodically assess the organization’s needs for computer resources and validate equipment requirements.
- Promote user awareness regarding unauthorized or illegal use of computer hardware and software.
- Apply patches, security fixes, and service releases to client workstations per local instructions.
- Manage email storage and assist users with creating PST files and moving official emails to electronic file plans.
- Support tracking and renewal of OEM/COTS licenses, warranties, and SLAs for client equipment and software.
- Support operations and maintenance of deployable communications suites such as Executive Communication Kits, including setup, teardown, troubleshooting, maintenance, and managing security groups, folders, mailboxes, and permissions.

Working Conditions
- Environmental Conditions: Contractor site with 0% to 10% travel possible; may require off-hours work to support releases and outages; generally a standard office environment with favorable lighting and temperature; predominantly sedentary with occasional standing or walking up to 10% of the time.
