IT Analyst

Bard Materials is hiring an IT Analyst to support day-to-day technology needs on-site from its Dubuque, IA office. This role reports to the IT Director and begins with hands-on help desk coverage, then grows into IT operations automation with opportunities to move toward data and application work.

The position is based in Dubuque, IA (onsite) and includes frequent local travel to support ready-mix and aggregate plants across Eastern Iowa, Southwest Wisconsin, and Northwest Illinois.

What you’ll do

• Own the help desk in Jira: answer the help desk line, triage and assign tickets, and keep the ticket queue moving.
• Support a range of systems including Windows, Microsoft 365, Teams Phone, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and business applications.
• Handle truck tablet triage by fixing common issues remotely and routing most in-cab work to the field technician.
• Use Intune and PDQ to build, deploy, and hand off computers, and support truck tablet enrollment and replacement through MDM software.
• Run account onboarding and offboarding, keep office technology stocked, and maintain accurate hardware inventory.
• Document solutions in ticket notes and help articles, identify repeating problems, and take ownership of automation that reduces manual work.
• After training, participate in the IT after-hours on-call rotation.

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years of hands-on IT or technical support experience, or an associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Solid working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: experience with IT management tools (Jira, Intune, or PDQ), and experience with data analysis or scripting (SQL, Power BI, or Python), AI coding agents, or employee training.
• Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
