IT Support Associate II
Job Description
At Amazon Operations, IT support plays a direct role in keeping facilities running smoothly across a defined geographic area. In this onsite role in Shelby Charter Township, MI, you will resolve technical issues across multiple disciplines while balancing day-to-day customer support with project work that supports system uptime and internal initiatives.
What you’ll do
- Allocate, maintain, and troubleshoot IT equipment used in Amazon Operations facilities.
- Handle support requests and follow established procedures across the network.
- Support customers from multiple buildings in the area, as well as remote customers.
- Contribute to maintaining system uptime through day-to-day fixes and strategic project work.
- Assist with training new hires.
- Continuously learn new technologies to support evolving infrastructure.
- Travel within your local or regional area to support customers.
- Perform shift work that includes standing and walking for shifts lasting up to 12 hours, plus physical tasks such as frequently pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
- Be able to lift up to 49 lbs as part of supporting facilities and equipment.
Required qualifications
- Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service.
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems.
- 1+ years of Windows, Mac, or Linux Operating systems support experience (or equivalent experience).

Compensation and benefits
This onsite role offers an hourly rate of USD 23 - 37. Amazon provides comprehensive healthcare benefits starting on Day 1, a matching 401(k) program, and up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave. Additional details
Daily work includes balancing technical support operations, including ticket management and phone support, while also contributing to project efforts that support uptime. Casual dress is supported at each location, with typical attire including jeans, t-shirts, and safety shoes, and at times a neon safety vest.
