IT Support Engineer II
Job Description
Work onsite in Garner, NC and help keep technology running across a defined geographic area. This role combines hands-on troubleshooting, project coordination across multiple locations, and continuous improvement. You will support customers from multiple buildings and also assist remote customers, while serving as a primary escalation point when issues are complex or time-sensitive.
Compensation: USD 60,700 - 106,300 per year.
What you’ll do
- Troubleshoot difficult IT problems, including scenarios where standard procedures are not available.
- Plan and coordinate CMs and CM templates.
- Collaborate with internal teams and/or vendors to execute regional projects.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to improve reliability and team effectiveness.
- Audit the quality of work delivered and provide constructive feedback when needed.
- Automate manual tasks by creating or improving small tools that streamline operations.
- Act as the first point of escalation for customer and technical issues.
- Participate in hiring, training, and development of others.
- Support customers across multiple buildings in the area and for remote customers.
- Travel within the local or regional area to support customers.
- Be able to move up to 49 lbs, and stand and walk during shifts lasting 12 hours.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- 4+ years of IT systems or relevant commercial production environment experience.
- 4+ years of Microsoft administration, Linux administration, or Cisco IOS (CLI) experience.
- 4+ years troubleshooting experience in a multi-user high availability environment.
- 4+ years networking experience, including DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP.
- 4+ years PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation experience.
- 3+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
- Possess and maintain a current, valid Driver License.
