IT Support Specialist

Hancock Survey Associates, Inc. invites an IT Support Specialist to join a collaborative team that keeps our operations productive across multiple locations. This onsite role provides hands-on technical support for computer systems, hardware, software, and peripherals to empower end users in Palmer, Chelmsford, and Marlborough. Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software.
• Act as liaison to outsourced IT consultant.
• Assist IT Manager with purchasing equipment.
• Configure Autodesk Civil 3D and Carlson software for technical and field staff.
• Manage company devices including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
• Assist field personnel with remote data transmission and devices.
• Assist with daily and monthly data backup protocol.
• Assist with server expansion, data archiving and directory organization as necessary.
• Maintain log of all devices, software, and licenses.
• Assist with all software installs, cloud access, etc.
• Assist with all communication protocol including email, videoconferencing, and webinar.
• Establish remote connection for off-site events.
• Resolve issues for staff via phone, in person, or electronically.
• Perform hardware and software installations, configurations and updates as needed.
• Resolve technical issues in a timely manner using available resources within the company.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills; a Help Desk mentality.
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff.
• Dependable and detail oriented.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Proactive mentality.
• 3 years of prior IT support experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technology field.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
