The IT Support Technician provides hands-on user support and maintains hardware and software across Apple, Windows, servers, networking, and manufacturing equipment for our Amsterdam, NY onsite operations.

Role overview

This position supports both onsite and remote staff by managing user accounts, provisioning devices, and ensuring reliable IT performance across manufacturing and office environments.

Responsibilities

Sets up new hire user accounts and handles deactivations.
Delivers on-site end-user support for remote employees.
Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains IT equipment including Mac, PC, Chromebook devices and factory peripheral devices.
Documents, updates, and escalates requests using the Asana task system.
Supports installation and maintenance of computer-driven manufacturing equipment.
Performs additional duties as needed to support manufacturing and remote departments.

Requirements

An associate's degree in information systems and/or IT certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, and Google) or equivalent work experience.
1-3 years of IT experience.
Strong understanding of computer support methodologies and troubleshooting.
Proficiency with VMware, Mac OS, Chrome OS, Windows 10/11, Linux, and Windows Server products.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, wired and wireless networking.
Experience with Google Workspace and supporting SaaS-based software applications.
Experience with computer-driven manufacturing equipment.
