Job Description
Speedrack Products Group is seeking an IT Technical Support Specialist to join their onsite team in Walker, Michigan. The role delivers hands-on technical assistance to end users while supporting an expanding network infrastructure, with a focus on Windows 10/11 maintenance, workstation configuration, new-hire onboarding, and desktop application and printer support. Some in-state travel is required to keep systems running smoothly and users empowered.
Responsibilities
- Provide desktop operating system support for Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Preconfigure end user laptops and workstations
- Onboard new employees
- Support desktop software applications
- Install and troubleshoot network printers
- Perform network cable troubleshooting
- Coordinate with vendor technical support
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills
- Be self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Some in-state travel required
- Maintain regular, reliable on-site attendance during scheduled shifts, including mandatory overtime
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a technical support specialist
- A degree, certifications, or relevant experience will be considered
- Certifications or licenses may be considered as part of the candidate criteria (required or preferred)

Working Conditions
- This position primarily operates in a professional office setting and may require occasional travel for business purposes
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Travel: up to 10%
- Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evening or weekend work as needed
- Schedules may vary based on position or department
- Employee must comply with all safety guidelines and workplace policies
