Job Description

Speedrack Products Group is seeking an IT Technical Support Specialist to join their onsite team in Walker, Michigan. The role delivers hands-on technical assistance to end users while supporting an expanding network infrastructure, with a focus on Windows 10/11 maintenance, workstation configuration, new-hire onboarding, and desktop application and printer support. Some in-state travel is required to keep systems running smoothly and users empowered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop operating system support for Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Preconfigure end user laptops and workstations
  • Onboard new employees
  • Support desktop software applications
  • Install and troubleshoot network printers
  • Perform network cable troubleshooting
  • Coordinate with vendor technical support
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills
  • Be self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Some in-state travel required
  • Maintain regular, reliable on-site attendance during scheduled shifts, including mandatory overtime

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a technical support specialist
  • A degree, certifications, or relevant experience will be considered
  • Certifications or licenses may be considered as part of the candidate criteria (required or preferred)

Compensation

Salary: $65,000 per year

Working Conditions

  • This position primarily operates in a professional office setting and may require occasional travel for business purposes
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Travel: up to 10%
  • Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evening or weekend work as needed
  • Schedules may vary based on position or department
  • Employee must comply with all safety guidelines and workplace policies
