Job Description

Speedrack Products Group is seeking an IT Technical Support Specialist to join their onsite team in Walker, Michigan. The role delivers hands-on technical assistance to end users while supporting an expanding network infrastructure, with a focus on Windows 10/11 maintenance, workstation configuration, new-hire onboarding, and desktop application and printer support. Some in-state travel is required to keep systems running smoothly and users empowered.

Responsibilities

Provide desktop operating system support for Windows 10 and Windows 11
Preconfigure end user laptops and workstations
Onboard new employees
Support desktop software applications
Install and troubleshoot network printers
Perform network cable troubleshooting
Coordinate with vendor technical support
Demonstrate strong customer service skills
Be self-motivated and capable of working independently
Some in-state travel required
Maintain regular, reliable on-site attendance during scheduled shifts, including mandatory overtime

Requirements

3-5 years of experience as a technical support specialist
A degree, certifications, or relevant experience will be considered
Certifications or licenses may be considered as part of the candidate criteria (required or preferred)

Working Conditions

This position primarily operates in a professional office setting and may require occasional travel for business purposes

Ability to operate standard office equipment
Travel: up to 10%
Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evening or weekend work as needed
