Job Description

The Technical Support Associate supports the Commercial Lines team by aiding Account Managers in servicing Commercial Lines accounts, issuing certificates, and handling related administrative tasks on a hybrid schedule in Wilmington, MA.

Compensation

Salary: USD 21 - 36 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the servicing of assigned accounts with the Account Manager
  • Provide support to the Account Manager on certificate processing
  • Handle correspondence and the clerical processing of accounts, including input of data for each account into the Broker Management System
  • Assist in review of contracts regarding insurance requirements for certificate issuance
  • Navigate the management system to pull policy documents for certificate holders
  • Develop a comprehensive familiarity with all forms and paperwork, including their intent and purpose
  • Conduct business from a professional standpoint and demonstrate a willingness to learn
  • Prepare certificates of insurance, evidence of property, and binders of insurance forms as required
  • Maintain an accurate suspense system for items requiring a response
  • Electronic filing of communications and documents
  • Input and maintain data on the account management system and any ancillary systems as required
  • Attend industry related continuing education training and courses
  • Follow HUB Broker Standards
  • Implement a quality control review process to ensure production of quality work and excellent customer service
  • Conduct business with an understanding of the business and earnings implications of the Company
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Account Manager

Requirements

  • Three years of administrative related work experience, with insurance industry experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Written communication: writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information
  • Quality management: demonstrates attention to detail
  • Project management: ability to work with a team and adhere to deadlines
  • Initiative: volunteers readily; undertakes self-development activities; seeks increased responsibilities; takes independent actions and calculated risks; looks for and takes advantage of opportunities; asks for and offers help when needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent organizational, communications and project management skills
