Job Description

This shop-based Technical Support Engineer role focuses on VFD/VSD and power electronics, providing commissioning, repair, maintenance, customer support, and pilot operations across the Midland, Texas region.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous product service within the assigned region, including equipment commissioning and maintenance, with regional travel as needed.
  • Perform commissioning of new equipment at customer facilities.
  • Support pilot operations and tests, ensuring timelines and goals are met for all company products.
  • Conduct pre-project facility assessments in preparation for the initial deployment of new products for General Industry markets.
  • Carry out field repairs and manage spare parts planning to maintain uninterrupted service region-wide.
  • Receive equipment from the manufacturer, coordinate delivery to customer sites, and verify the accuracy of order paperwork.
  • Consult with customer representatives on service, maintenance, and operation; handle paid service requests; conduct customer satisfaction surveys on delivered equipment.
  • Gather technical problem data from customers to develop proposals for performance improvements and operational processes.
  • Participate in investigations of equipment failures at customer or third-party premises.
  • Contribute to implementing corrective and preventive actions to enhance equipment quality delivered to customers.
  • Maintain daily activity records in the CRM Bitrix24.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of experience in the maintenance and operation of converter equipment, such as frequency converters and VSDs; familiarity with Triol VSD/VFD is preferred.
  • Proficiency with complex measuring instruments (oscilloscope, megohmmeter, network analyzer, etc.).
  • Skills in repairing and restoring drive systems.
  • Technical English at C1 level or higher.
  • Valid international passport and a B-category driver’s license.
  • Electrical safety certification above 1000 V.
  • Willingness to travel within the United States; potential travel to Europe and Canada.
