Technical Support Specialist
Job Description
Technical Support Specialist responsible for network hardware support, deployment, and IT operations at Must View Networks in Norwalk, CT (onsite).
Responsibilities
- Support and implement network hardware, design, operation, convergence, and security per VP Operations directives.
- Coordinate communications with vendors, partners, contractors, and staff by phone to facilitate technology installations.
- Set up and configure deployment hardware including PCs, modems, routers, and wireless access points.
- Oversee planning, development, installation, and ongoing operations of hardware and network systems in real time using Asana.
- Monitor network health and respond to issues promptly to maintain smooth operations.
- Assist in configuring and maintaining web servers and server accounts via WHM and cPanel.
- Troubleshoot and repair website issues on our servers, primarily Wordpress-based.
- Schedule and manage technicians and handle incoming and outgoing support requests.
- Set up and support employee equipment and software, including staff PCs, tablets, and phones.
- Collaborate with onsite technicians to oversee signage and network installations, both remotely and in person; some travel is required.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and use software for content management and digital signage.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional appearance for meetings with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree is not required but preferred.
- CompTIA A+ certification is not required but preferred.

Additional Details

- Maintain a constructive attitude during long-running projects and workflows.
- Work with management to plan MVN IT’s future needs while sustaining day-to-day network operations.
- Demonstrate aptitude for leading and motivating staff members.
- Set project timeframes and priorities aligned with objectives and ongoing assignments.
- Provide guidance and technical advice, engaging actively as required.
- Adjust Windows settings for different network environments.
