Job Description

Active Consulting Services LLC is seeking a proactive Technical Support Specialist to support end users on-site in Lewes, DE and help maintain a healthy IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive technical support across Windows, macOS, and Linux for end users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in Microsoft Office and enterprise apps such as ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy.
  • Administer computer hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance.
  • Configure and maintain network components, including LANs, VPNs, firewalls, DNS settings, and TCP/IP; manage Meraki and Cisco devices.
  • Support IT infrastructure through Active Directory administration, Group Policy Objects (GPO), Windows Server environments, and Linux server configurations.
  • Document issues and resolve steps using official help desk ticketing systems, ensuring accurate records.
  • Collaborate on projects involving SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), network security protocols like TCP and Firewall rules, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Assist with setup and upkeep of mobile devices and operating system updates to maintain security compliance.
  • Analyze recurring incidents to identify root causes and propose improvements for stability and security.

Requirements

  • Proven technical support experience in a corporate or enterprise setting.
  • Solid knowledge of computer management practices, including hardware troubleshooting, software installation, and OS configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory administration, DNS management, and TCP/IP networking.
  • Familiarity with macOS and Linux in a cross-platform support role.
  • Experience with network equipment including LAN setup, VPN configurations, firewalls (Meraki), and network monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency with help desk systems such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy; Jira experience is a plus.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users while providing strong customer service.
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot efficiently and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.

Pay

Pay: $24.58 - $29.60 per hour
