Help Desk Technician
Job Description
Entry-level Help Desk Technician role focused on Tier 1 support, hands-on desktop troubleshooting, and on-site field work across the Carson Valley, NV area.
Responsibilities
- Handle Tier 1 service tickets including password resets, user onboarding/offboarding, desktop and laptop troubleshooting, printers and peripherals, Microsoft 365 and Outlook issues, and desk phone support
- Answer inbound support calls professionally and log every ticket with clear, complete notes
- Provide on-site assistance: rack and cable equipment, mount wireless access points, swap hardware, and support senior engineers during installs (ladders, crawl spaces, and equipment rooms included)
- Complete recurring maintenance checklists as trained (backup verification and patch checks)
- Build technical capability over time with the company’s tools and stack, including Kaseya BMS, Datto RMM, IT Glue, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, 3CX phone systems, and enterprise firewalls
Requirements
- Strong drive to learn and dependable follow-through; tickets reflect the work you perform
- Courteous, clear communication with non-technical customers on the phone and in person
- Basic computer literacy, including comfort with Windows navigation and installing software
- Physical ability for field tasks: climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in equipment rooms
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; routine travel between client sites
- Must pass a fingerprint-based background check and complete required security awareness training
- A disqualifying criminal history will prevent employment in this role

Schedule and Location
- Location: Minden, NV (onsite)
- Work style: In person / field, Carson Valley, NV area
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift; occasional travel between client sites
Compensation
- $20.00 per hour to start
- Performance review and raise opportunity at 90 days

- Entry-level; no prior experience required (training provided)
