Advanced Network & Computer Services is seeking an on-site Helpdesk Computer Technician in Evansville, Indiana. This full-time role emphasizes maintaining user uptime, resolving technical issues, performing on-site hardware replacements, and delivering responsive customer service within a collaborative, professional culture in a state-of-the-art facility.

Responsibilities

  • Solid troubleshooting skills across desktops, applications, and networks
  • Proven verbal and written communication supporting end users in a call center setting, with use of remote support tools as needed
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to quality
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 7/10, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office 2013/2016
  • Provide on-site and remote Help Desk support
  • Maintain networked computers including new installs, upgrades, and imaging
  • Use remote monitoring and management software to address client requests
  • Document, review, and improve existing or new procedures and workflows
  • Respond to client support requests via tickets, calls, and emails

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor degree, or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 2 to 3 years of Technical Support experience
  • More than two years of prior Help Desk or Desktop Support experience
  • Experience delivering end-user desktop support across multiple sites on a corporate campus
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail
  • A+, MCP or similar certifications are a plus
  • Experience with AutoTask, ConnectWise, or other remote monitoring management and ticketing systems is a plus
  • Experience in an MSP or supporting multiple clients is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Ability to pass a background check
