IT Support Specialist
Job Description
This onsite IT Support Specialist role in Waco, TX offers a benefits-forward environment with a strong emphasis on HIPAA compliant security, onboarding and offboarding processes, and collaborative teamwork. Compensation is an hourly rate listed as USD 1 - 1 per hour. In this position you will support end users, manage software and hardware provisioning, and contribute to secure, reliable IT operations across the firm.

Responsibilities
- Onboard new employees with hardware and software provisioning, account setup, and related configuration tasks
- Provide training and end-user technical support for hardware, software, proprietary systems, tools, and workflows
- Manage offboarding processes, including disabling access, revoking credentials, and returning company equipment
- Administer the helpdesk ticketing system; troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues with timely, effective solutions
- Coordinate cybersecurity awareness training for staff
- Configure law firm software integrations and maintain technical setup, data synchronization, system connectivity, and troubleshooting
- Maintain system reporting infrastructure
- Coordinate IT hardware and software purchases, maintain inventory records, and operate within budget
- Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and compliant with HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules
- Maintain compliance with organizational IT policies and standards, including data security and system integrity
- Maintain antivirus software and endpoint protection
- Support vendor software, including implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of applications and systems
- Stay current with technological advancements and recommend upgrades or new solutions to improve operations
- Provide after-hours technical support as needed
- Apply critical thinking to resolve unexpected problems
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues across multiple platforms
- Ability to assemble and configure computer workstations and related technology equipment
- Knowledge of database and software integration principles
- Experience implementing software solutions to improve processes
- Strong communication skills to assist clients and team members effectively
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in IT asset management and documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar issues and work independently in a fast-paced environment
